R is for

I was going to do R is for ripping out. A whole sweater. Wrong fit, wrong pattern, just wrong.

I thought about recycling, something I really believe in.

But then I realized R is for Ravelry. Something that in the last two years has become such an important part of my life. And something that has enriched my life in so many ways. I've learned so much, laughed a lot, cried a bit and met some wonderful friends.

Hi Susan I enjoy your blog and you found your way over to mine today somehow and asked about my china pattern that is original very old Franciscan Desert Rose it used to be my Aunts her grandd was given it after she passed and was in tough times and was gonna sell it on ebay I told her I'd buy it and if she ever wanted it back she could buy it back. Luckily she hasn't wanted it back and even forgot I had it till she saw my blog post lol.
The original company outta california is no longer in buisness and the pattern sold to wedgewood and then someone else and is now made in china which is microwave and dishwasher safe you can get it through Macy's You can do a web search on it and find old original pieces at replacement sites and antique sites. Mine has the round franciscan stamp and says earthenware on it and is only oven safe. I don't have a full set and don't intend on increasing it.
Probably tmi but hope this helps
