X Marks the Spot

I eat while I knit, well actually I snack while I knit. And sometimes I spill things on my knitting. This time it was iced tea. And if you look really closely, you can see the x on the picture. It took a lot of soaking to get it out. And I'm not really sure it is all out. So if anyone knows a cleaner that works on wool, let me know. I'm sure this won't be the last time, I know it wasn't the first.

This is absolutely divine! A really beautiful knit! The stitch pattern reminds me of Lily's Haven.

Actually, I really can't see the stain! Maybe it shows up more in real life, but in the photos it doesn't at all.

When my sister-in-law had her babies, I gave her all the clothes I had knitted for my babies a couple of years earlier. She returned them to me, without exception, with bleach marks on them where she had 'cleaned' them. I really regret not valuing my handiwork now, and wish I hadn't lent them all to her!

I can't see a thing either.

I am a total disaster area around any liquids of any kind and can vouch for Vanish. It is pretty vicious so it might be worth testing that it doesn't dissolve your yarn. If all else fails I've found the carpet version of Vanish is the most potent thing in the world and I have yet to find the stain it can't remove (touch wood). Probably requires some pretty thorough testing though - I've only ever used it in "Well, if I can't get it out it is going in the bin anyway" situations.

Good luck!

I don't see anything either. But, if you can't get it out ... and tea is noted for staining ..., I would just over-dye the entire sweater. You could use tea and then it would blend together.
It looks gorgeous though!
