And It Continues...

We're having a heat wave and all the windows are closed, and I'm hot and tired and we are still painting. And washing and ironing curtains while they're down, and we might as well mop the floor while all the furniture is moved, and this would be a good time to change the slipcovers on the couch, and the windows are dirty and we can really get at them now, wow, the blinds are really dusty. I'm almost too tired to knit and I'm not sure when to start the decreases on the clapotis. Has anyone used the rule of fifths? Did it work?

ROFL...somebody else lives like I do!!!! At some point call it done. There's only so far you can take, "and then we should....." because, darlin', that list never ends!

Gosh, doing all that in a heatwave does not sound like any fun at all! Sorry, not made a Clapotis, so I can't help on that front.

Can you come over? The stove needs to be pulled out so that the floor around and behind can be cleaned. And I've been knitting away, completely ignoring it!

What would be the point of all the housework if there wasn't something as delightful as knitting to go to for reward?

I don't know the rule of fifths, either. I'm confounded by all things mathematical---

I love your couch by the way, so cute.

Rule of 5ths? You mean at some point during the knitting of the Clapotis we must start drinking? LOL!

LOL, I hate when chores snowball. There always seems to be 'one more thing' to do.
My solution, don't start just leave things as they are. (In my dreams)

Sorry, I can't help with your knitting dilemma. Keep us posted. I'd love to hear more about this.

You are a brave woman! It was so hot here, that last night I surrendered to Kohr's icecream, and the baby and I lay down under a ceiling fan with a cool wet washcloth. We didn't get a whole lot of knitting done either! I can't imagine painting this last weekend!

It's amazing how many things require our attention! Make sure you save time for knitting. The other chores will be there waiting for you.
